Regardless, she finds herself almost immediately appalled by what he follows up with. Almost being key there. What actually happens is she looses the smallest laugh. That's not exactly untrue, is it? What she doesn't say, but may very well align with his own thoughts, is what will they do should they exhaust all of their options? What happens at the end of that pathway?
