Even if I did, it still wouldn't be enough to put me in that kind of role. It's definitely not something I wanted. If it's true, then it happened entirely by mistake and no one's thought to correct it.
A well-earned title is different. And I'd probably think it was fine for someone else. It's just a little strange to have something like that applied to me.
I could believe that. There's a songstress that I'm familiar with and she wanted to write something about me. I couldn't convince her to do otherwise, but I think it helps that she had quite a bit to drink, so I think she ultimately forgot.
Most people aren't doing great deeds because they want titles or songs dedicated to them.
I'm not a wordsmith. I guess I'd be satisfied with people just saying I'm a tiefling who wants better for my people and one day hope to see a world where we're more accepted. My wants are simple.
I'm inclined to leave the words to anyone who isn't me, honestly. And it seems like I'm surrounded by wordsmiths. I could listen to all of them go on for hours, so I've just come to assume they're all masters of conversation.
[And she, decisively, is not. But it is very likely that Nepione, as per an alarming usual, is discrediting herself.]
That's. Not wholly untrue, I guess. I don't really know how to handle compliments. Easier to handle just about anything else, though. I don't dislike compliments. Just not good with them!

Surely you don't think I do that on a regular basis.

there once was a tiefling
with words that could sway
the hearts of the gathered
nepione
a group she had with her
a camp, warm and bright
camaraderie abound
all through the night
(and beyond it, a bard
a stray debonair
occasionally giving her
tips for her hair)
they'd drink and make merry
she'd practice her brew
with her cauldron exploding
only one time or two
and though she denied it
those 'round her could see
her guidance was golden --
what it needed to be
so onward, adventurer
may evil you slay
by the light of the paragon
nepione
I've laughed about this for hours now. Thank you so much.
If you start playing that publicly, I'm going to hurt you.
Still. Very impressive.
Told you it was relevant to know how her name was pronounced. ;)

unless you got a better wordsmith in that camp of yours.
